This is a familiar war for many, film makers galore have tried to tell the tale, or at least a part fo it. There is so much more to this conflict than hollywood depicts, and it is the archives, the diaries, the photographs, and the memories that help us piece the horrific reality back together.

With many restrcitions still in place around the Service Records of those who served we have to seek information elsewhere or rely on family to allow us access.

Much less of my research to date has been related to WWII, however like so many of my contempories I had grandparents who served and this is an area of great interest.

My WWII research is also dedicated, this time to the memory of those who served, died and survived the war which plunged the world into deadly crisis for a second time in a generation.
